IMPACT’s school programming falls into three categories: Seminars, Experiential Classes, and Packages, which are combinations of Seminars and Experiential Classes.
Seminars give a framework for how to think about topics such as appropriate technology use, personal safety, where violence comes from, and many others. The classes are activity and discussion
based. The goal of seminars is to change participants’ perspective.
Experiential Classes teach concrete skills to deal with stressful or dangerous situations such as interventions, setting boundaries with people we know, setting boundaries with strangers, verbal de-escalation and dissuasion techniques, and a variety of physical self-defense skills for predatory or territorial attacks. These skills are taught in realistic, dynamic role plays. Byproducts of these classes include improved adrenaline and stress management, improved leadership, increased self-esteem/worth, more self-confidence, and better communication skills.

Visit our How Experiential Works page for more information on experiential classes and our Testimonials page to hear what teens and adults say about their experiences.
Packages, which target specific audiences (teachers, student leaders, at-risk youth, etc) combine Seminars and Experiential to the most possible benefit. Experiential classes allow students to put into practice the concepts they learn in Seminar classes. Learning how to implement these boundaries or interventions and stand up for themselves change a group’s understanding of the issue and how empowered they feel to create change in their own lives and their communities.
Pricing for classes is based on the number of hours of a package/course, whether the hours are Seminar or Experiential, whether the school/school district is public or private, as well as the size and budget of the school/school district. Please contact us by calling 505.992.8833, emailing to
